This policy explains how the Media Sandesh Android app ("the app") handles information. The app is published by Media Sandesh, a Hindi news publication based in Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, India (RNI No. UTTHIN/2012/50365).
To remember your choices, the app saves the following in its private storage on your phone. It is never sent to us:
If Android backup is turned on for your phone, this data may be included in your device's own backup to your Google account. You can delete it at any time by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or by uninstalling the app.
If you use the "Send us news" feature, you may enter a headline, location, details, your name, an optional phone number, and attach up to 5 photos or videos that you pick. The app does not upload this to any server. When you tap send, the app hands the content to WhatsApp or to your email app, where you review it and send it yourself to the Media Sandesh editorial desk (WhatsApp +91 94113 40800 / mediasandesh4@gmail.com).
Once sent, the desk receives it like any other WhatsApp message or email, and uses it only to verify and report the news. Your identity can be kept confidential on request. Media files you pick are copied temporarily into the app's private cache so they can be attached, and are not shared with anyone else. Delivery through WhatsApp or email is governed by those services' own privacy policies.
To show news, videos and weather, the app connects to the services below. Like any website, these servers receive standard technical information such as your IP address and device/browser type. The app does not send them any personal information about you.
The "Listen" feature uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your phone. Article text is processed by that engine according to its provider's policy.
When you share an article or open a link (Facebook, X, WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, Instagram, maps, phone or email), the app opens the relevant app or website. What happens there is covered by that service's own privacy policy.
The optional headlines widget loads the latest headlines from mediasandesh.com. It collects no personal information.
The app is a general news app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
All network connections made by the app use HTTPS encryption.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.

यदि आपके फ़ोन में Android बैकअप चालू है, तो यह डेटा आपके Google खाते में फ़ोन के बैकअप में शामिल हो सकता है। आप Android सेटिंग में ऐप का स्टोरेज साफ़ करके या ऐप अनइंस्टॉल करके यह डेटा कभी भी हटा सकते हैं।
"हमें खबर भेजें" सुविधा में आप शीर्षक, स्थान, विवरण, अपना नाम, वैकल्पिक फ़ोन नंबर और अपनी चुनी हुई अधिकतम 5 फ़ोटो/वीडियो जोड़ सकते हैं। ऐप यह जानकारी किसी सर्वर पर अपलोड नहीं करता। भेजें दबाने पर ऐप इसे WhatsApp या आपके ईमेल ऐप में खोलता है, जहाँ आप स्वयं इसे देखकर मीडिया संदेश डेस्क (WhatsApp +91 94113 40800 / mediasandesh4@gmail.com) को भेजते हैं।
डेस्क इस जानकारी का उपयोग केवल खबर की पुष्टि और रिपोर्टिंग के लिए करता है। अनुरोध पर आपकी पहचान गोपनीय रखी जा सकती है। चुनी गई फ़ाइलें भेजने के लिए अस्थायी रूप से ऐप के निजी कैश में कॉपी होती हैं और किसी और से साझा नहीं की जातीं।
समाचार, वीडियो और मौसम दिखाने के लिए ऐप इन सेवाओं से जुड़ता है: mediasandesh.com (समाचार व चित्र), YouTube / Google (वीडियो), Google Translate (अंग्रेज़ी चुनने पर लेख का अनुवाद), और Open-Meteo (चुने गए शहर का मौसम; आपकी लोकेशन नहीं भेजी जाती)। किसी भी वेबसाइट की तरह ये सर्वर आपका IP पता और डिवाइस प्रकार जैसी सामान्य तकनीकी जानकारी प्राप्त करते हैं।
"सुनें" सुविधा आपके फ़ोन में इंस्टॉल टेक्स्ट-टू-स्पीच इंजन का उपयोग करती है।
लेख साझा करने या कोई लिंक खोलने पर संबंधित ऐप/वेबसाइट खुलती है, जिस पर उसकी अपनी गोपनीयता नीति लागू होती है।
यह एक सामान्य समाचार ऐप है और 13 वर्ष से कम उम्र के बच्चों के लिए नहीं है।
ऐप के सभी नेटवर्क कनेक्शन HTTPS से एन्क्रिप्टेड होते हैं।
